Adjusting the Lens Through Which You See the World

Bad Guys?

The highlight of this trip for me was preaching in the Hi-Max Mexican Prison, in the middle of nowhere. It was like I was staring out at hundreds of REAL Mexican Convicts that looked like they were straight out of the movie “Scarface.” But after I spoke, they lined up and wanted to hug me, thank me, and ask me to pray for them, as they expressed genuine love and gratitude. As I travel around and meet real “Bad Guys” around the world, I realize that they aren’t so bad at all, if you show them genuine love without judgment—they are just real men looking to be set free and not forgotten anymore… The other big moment for me was preaching to this wonderful little church right beside the “Popo” Volcano (pictured below). We danced and sang and I witnessed true JOY in the midst of extreme poverty. I will never forget these beautiful, hospitable people, who didn’t speak my language, but we all spoke the language of LOVE. You should try it-- it’ll set YOU free…
